Tower Records to stay put.

Moose when I was in San Francisco I used to go to a Tower that was fairly close to the Westin St. Francis-what about that one?

If you mean the Tower at the intersection of Bay and Columbus, yeah, for a while their jazz section was surprisingly good. Overpriced but they would have regular sales. Their jazz buyer was a dedicated, knowledgable guy. Then the decline set in over the last two years or so; I didn't go there for some time, and when I went back recently the jazz section seemed purged of stock and there was no sign of that guy. Maybe he quit in disgust. This is all rather depressing because I have an atavistic need for places where I can physically browse through albums. Online just doesn't do it for me.
