Saw the Alvin Ailey dance troupe a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed by the opening number "Finding Free" which had music  I'm presuming was written specifically for it by Matthew Whitaker.  I really liked the music but listening to some of his albums on Spotify do not find them nearly as interesting.  Anyone here  heard him recently and have an opinion?
