Saw Joshua Redman tonight at Yoshi's Oakland. C+. Not impressed at all. There were moments but they were few and far between. I will give him credit for playing Stardust, one those moments....

I've seen Joshua Redman perform many times by this point. Sometimes the show was great and sometimes not so great. Not every performer can put on their best performance every time. That's why I still buy tickets to their next show.

FWIW, I saw Redman during his last tour, when he had vocalist Gabrielle Cavassa in the band. While the shows were enjoyable, I am not a huge fan of vocals, so I didn't like it nearly as much as other shows Redman put on. I think it should have been listed as the "Gabrielle Cavasa Band".  But that doesn't mean I won't see him again.
