Jim Alfredson Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 I sent a package to this festival, too. Didn't hear anything. Quote
montg Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 I've been thinking about treking over there this year (about a 2 hour drive). I've got two young kids, so I don't know. The price is right--everything's free. Quote
jazzmessenger Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 I have been to the IC Jazz Festival last two years. I really like this festival. It's not too big, and it's got a very nice atomosphere. I don't think I can make it there this year, but I can recommend the festival to anyone. Quote
Miles251 Posted April 19, 2004 Author Report Posted April 19, 2004 B-3er.....Sorry about that! I heard the recording that you sent and it was burnin', but I know that the director gets packets from all over the place for spots on the program. To keep the sponsors happy, we almost have to go with the "names" and some local acts to start each day of the fest. Being a regional musician as well, I feel your pain and frustration. Hope to have you at the fest soon...... Quote
Miles251 Posted April 20, 2004 Author Report Posted April 20, 2004 Free For All.....Why not come over and hang with your Bro this year??! Quote
Free For All Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Free For All.....Why not come over and hang with your Bro this year??! Turns out the Woody tour's not happening in July, so I might just be coming up there this year. Is your AC working? B) Quote
SGUD missile Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I sent a package to this festival, too. Didn't hear anything. I'd be glad to send them one too ( looks like they need another big band ) ..and I know where they can get one temporary end of shameless self floggery Quote
Miles251 Posted April 21, 2004 Author Report Posted April 21, 2004 Free For All....Oh Gooey One, You KNOW my AC will be jamming by that time. This world has enough "greasy" brass players...no need for another! Quote
