  1. If anyone has a copy of this for sale in NM condition or better, please PM me with your price and payment options. Thank You.
  2. Does anybody play one of these? I really like the way they sound, it's like a handheld xylophone/vibraphone.
  3. Thanks a million, this is exactly what I was looking for.
  4. How do you know when you go to buy a Blue Note album if it's a original or not. What do you look for?
  5. Most of Blue Mitchell's stuff on that label is very good in my opinion.

    Cal

Is Cal not the coolest vibist ever!!! I'm not talking about his 50's/early 60's work, but rather his late 60's, 70's and some 80's stuff. Anyway what's your favorite Cal song and/or album?
  7. My 4 recommendation: That Healin Feelin - "Love Vibrations" Total Response - "Soul Searchin" Total Response - "I Had a Little Talk" All - "Merger of the Minds"
  8. Anybody have any records on this label? What's you're favorite?
  9. Looking for 2 lps of his early stuff on Saba/MPS: -Inner Source (2lps) -George Duke Quartet Presented by the Jazz Workshop (1966)
  10. Yeah these 3 albums really cook, some of the funkiest stuff i've ever heard and very trippy, but in a good way. Total Response is my fav of the three. Still waitin for the Silver N' stuff 2 be released, I got brass which is sealed and a NM copy of the double lp strings feat. Gregory Hines (nice stuff and great solos by bandmates). I also got all his Silveto stuff which has that USoM feel to it.
  11. I really like all of Black Jazz records. Henry Franklin is real nice on the skipper and as already stated both awakening lps are cool too. I really would like to get Roland Haynes - 2nd Wave lp, but this seems to be the hardest to find of them all. Gene Russell was a genius for putting this label together his records aren't bad either. I see on some Black Jazz lps it has the ovation label name on them, does anyone know's what was the relationship of these two labels?
  12. Hi. I am looking for some very hard to find lps. The first one is a album by a group called Feather made up of a duo of Weaver Copeland & Mahmu Pearl, the album is called "Goin' Through Changes" on the Discovery label. Also I am looking for all Black Jazz label records except Doug Carn's lps. Thanks.
