JohnS
The Lonehill set is very nice. I wouldn't think twice about it.
Big Al
I've been taken care of! Didn't have to give up my Mosaics, and will continue to scour the used LP bins for the Buck jams while listening to what I'm being supplied with. As for cross-dressing, well... let's just say I've got more than I'll ever need for that.
Big Al
I suppose, therefore, we can cd-r the Lonehill (i ain't checked the diskomo-graphy to se if it is excactly the same as Mosaic) & spread it around but... edc The Mosaic has a few more tracks than the Lone Hill, I think they're all just alternate takes. J Larsen
The Lone Hill is just master takes and only 3CDs/19 tracks. The Mosaic is masters + alt takes, 6 CDs/32 tracks. Missing from the Lone Hill are alt takes of: Lean Baby, Robins' Nest, How Hi the Fi, Don't be that Way, Undecided, Rock-A-Bye Basie, Out of Nowhere, Blue Lou, Broadway, All the Cats Join In (alt + insert), After Hours and Don't Miss Your Baby. Bluerein
that's because on the alternates and unissued tracks the PM isn't reached yet (counting from the first date of issue).
Kevin Bresnahan
that's because on the alternates and unissued tracks the PM isn't reached yet (counting from the first date of issue). That never stopped them before. Besides, I thought public domain in the EU was 50 years from the recording date?
