Larry Kart
Many thanks to Jim Sangrey for recommending this fine album (see below), which has the best latter-day Bill Perkins I know; on this one at least it all came together for him. My guess is that the springy somewhat reminiscent of early Gary Peacock bass playing of Chris Colangelo had a good deal to with this. Anyone know when this album was recorded? Dave James
Larry, There's second Perkins / Pucillo / Colangelo collaboration called "Like Nobody Else - The Danny Pucillo Quartet Plays The Music Of Charles Mingus."
JSngry
Final Note: Danny Pucillo Sr. https://www.afm47.org/press/final-note-danny-pucillo-sr/ 7 hours ago, Larry Kart said: Anyone know when this album was recorded? I'm thinking 2000-2001, very late in Perkins' life.

JSngry
Now you'll want to find an affordable copy of the Perkins/James Clay record. Trust me on this one.
