Dan Gould
Well once Tom nudged me at least I got Gene Harris right but there are other tracks on that radio broadcast that are much more like the Gene I know and love. If I had been the presenter I would have gone with one of the duets, that would have been a toughie but I bet Gene would have stood out more to me than he did on this track. Hardbopjazz
That's why I selected this track. It wasn't that obvious to identify Gene Harris. Edited February 28, 2014 by Hardbopjazz
Spontooneous
Fats and George Cables blatantly obvious now. D'oh!
page
I wonder why I didn't think of Fats Waller. Lovely to read who all the great ones are I couldn't find. Thanks again. Tom, I've really enjoyed it!
Hot Ptah
Is the Ray Charles (#17) available on any commercial release? I really enjoyed that track! I have the Roots album (#9) but have not listened to it for some time and in embarassing fashion, did not remember what was on it. Is the Freddie Hubbard track (#14) on any available LP or CD? I was not familiar with it at all. Edited March 3, 2014 by Hot Ptah
