  1. Ahhhhhh...... Now I know exactly what everyone has been referring to. It all makes sense to me now. I was wondering why Bill was only providing track timings. Nice work!!! Don
  2. Bill it looks like the details you provided are for Salvador's "Starfingers" album. Do you have his quartet album with Billy Taylor as well; "Juicy Lucy" (reminds me of an old girl friend). BTW, that Sal Nistico album belongs in every hard boppers collection in one form or another!! Probably Sal's best overall recording on record. Us Upstate New Yorkers really miss Sal.......... Don
  3. I voted for Nick. Do you see the resemblance?? Seriously, while I love Pepper Adams' playing as well all you need to do if you have any doubts between the two of them is to listen to "Baritone Madness" on Bee Hive. IMO Nick ran through Pepper like a chainsaw!! Don
  4. Brad, I've got "Burn Brigade" also. PM me and perhaps we can arrange a trade. Don
  5. Euclid Records is St. Louis (euclidrecords.com) has a M- copy of the LP for $10. Like the entire Bee Hive catalog It has not been reissued on LP. Don
  6. Hi, I recently purchased what I thought to be Yusef Lateef's Cadet reissue of his "Live at Cranbrook" LP. The record jacket and label identified the LP as being the before mentioned Lateef album but careful listening and examination of the identification markings in the dead wax indicate side A of the album to be Lou Donaldson's Cadet release entitled "Lou Donaldson At His Best" while side B is the flip side of Harold Land's "Peace-maker" LP. While I was initally disappointed in not hearing brother Yusef I was equally delighted to hear Harold Land and Bobby Hutcherson. This may very well be their finest collaboration!! I would very much love to hear side A of the "Peace-maker" LP but in 30 years of record collecting I have NEVER seen it for sale and I would guess that whoever has control of the Argo/Cadet catalogue at thsi point has no immediate plans to issue it. You would think the Japanese would have gotten around to it by now. If anyone would be willing to share a CD-R burn of the "Peace-maker" album I would be most appreciative. I have a ton of OOP material and would be glad to trade. While I'm at it, does anyone have Yusef Lateef's "Live at Cranbrook"? Thank you for your consideration, Don
  7. Hi, I have all 5 Blue Moon Johnny Hodges CDs from the set entitled "The Complete 1941-1954 Small Group Sessions". I believe this contains all the material included in the Mosaic 1950's small group LP set. The individual discs are as follows: #1: Vol. 1. 1941-1950 #2: Vol. 2 1950 #3: Vol. 3 1951-1952 #4: Vol. 4 1952-1953 #5: Vol. 5 1954 As this set appears to be OOP you may contact me concerning a possible trade if you are in need of this material.
