Coincidentally, Shellac made the cover of the June issue of THE WIRE Magazine,
because their first album in a decade has just come out. -

I have a soft spot for the soundtrack to the Solaris remake: https://www.soundtrack.net/album/solaris-soderbergh/
The composer's son (of the original), Artemiy Artemiev, has done some interesting work since the 90s.
I'd start with "Point of Intersection." Over 50 films, documentaries ... and a whole bunch of compilations
on his own label called "Electroshock." -

This one is even better in my opinion. The Klaus Schulze track is really great.

Did you enjoy Stella's story?

@rostasi, I thought it was a little surprising that Solaris didn't make the list. Good call.
And I had NO IDEA that Gil Melle did the music for The Andromeda Strain. !!!

I've always been OK with some of the "lesser" titles like
Natural Illusions, Montara, and maybe Knucklebean.
Don't know if it's because of Oehler on those last two
or if it's just the ex-vibes player in my heart. I do remember
playing Natural Illusions on the radio and a guy in the studio
telling me I was mispronouncing Bertoncini's name on the air
because he had studied with him and he knew ! I probably was. -
