  12. Cut it out ! My planned raid on Manchester Fopp this week delayed for a while, regrettably. No cause for alarm! Bought used via Amazon.uk from Guernsey-based Zoverstocks for £3.04 including shipping ((Ever tried Zoverstocks with their massive stock of low-priced used items? The recent growth of the used CD market must be a sign of the straightened times!)

  20. Closer than you might think! Failing any further bids, I think Sidewinder must be declared winner of this round for his remarkably near miss answer. It's JOHN HALLAM. Here he is with Barnes, with and without wig Further evidence of their close association: Have never seen Hallam, but am going to his gig on Sunday. My curiosity has been sparked by a neighbour who after 25 years has "come out" to me by revealing that he used to be a jazz musician and played guitar with Hallam. I'll post a full wig report on return!
  21. Closer than you might think!
  22. On the solo session he did in Paris in the early- to mid-fifties ("Manganese", "Eronel", "Portrait of an Ermite", etc) you can hear his foot padding away on the floor. I imagine a large crepe-soled shoe!
  23. See what you mean! Actually, unintended vocalising didn't occur to me when I started this thread. That's been well and truly discussed on other occasions, so let's keep it to squeaks, bumps, etc
