Interesting. My brother just introduced me to Judy Sill's music last week after I played him some Karen Dalton. I had never heard of her before. What a story.

Shawn, I'd love to see that list again!

I'm with Clifford.

I am shocked. I sensed a deep sadness in him through his characters, but I just guessed he had a handle on it all.
We grasp to comprehend suicide, but Robin Williams at 63... surely he understood its permanence.
Heartbreaking.

No one seems to mention Popeye, which I saw for the first time this Winter. I really loved it!

I found Open Air Suit in Knoxville sealed last year!
It's cool to hear him say his current ensemble is his best. I understand and appreciate the sentiment, because hey, they're bad as hell, but Air? Air.

If you follow the running modern jazz thread, you will notice that about a half dozen small international labels are constantly releasing new recordings by what seem to be the same fifty or sixty musicians. Maybe more, but it is rare to see new names, or folks listening to musicians that are not already an established part of this list. Niche market, yes, and seemingly difficult to break into.

Tell that to the album, danas. Tell that to the album.

Always the taskmaster Leeway. I suppose this had gotten off topic quite a bit.
Sorry, I looked through the posts and didn't see the article. Not sure what you mean by "taskmaster." I just think it's useful to keep in mind the human costs as well as the technology costs. Anyway carry on.
Just a joke.

The original Sir Nose D'Void?!

I want to say that there are only 300 or 500 of that original Atlanta concert pressing. Is that right?

Whether or not this adds to the conversation, I have a similar adapter from monoprice (mini display to hdmi) that I have been using for five years to extend my desktop without a hitch. It was less expensive, as I recall.

Looks like Atlanta Concert is a vinyl reissue and Chicago Octet/Tentet is CD.

Man, I do not need to be looking at sites like catalytic.

The first two that you posted there are things that I have always wished I had bought when available. I'm always on such a budget, it's possible I will have to miss the reissues. Still haven't heard them!
Wasn't the Atlanta concert vinyl only?
