    Steve Lacy

I believe most of them I heard und numerous I do own .... saw Lacy several times - as Trio, Sextet, part of the Herbie Nichols Project of Misha Mengelberg and with Mal Waldron inter alias .... and genug ? Yep, it`s a superb body of work .... but still a new archival release would come welcomed ....
  2. Likely Monk`s best outing on Columbia ....

Would appreciate unreleased Trio recordings with Jean-Jacques Avenel .... but actually any previously unrelased material would be of interest ....

I would really appreciate a new Steve Lacy archive release ....
  7. You'be been there for your father during lifetime so nothing more to be proved .... obviously easier said than done, so all the best for the festivity ....
  8. The Smashing Pumpkins „Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness (Deluxe Edition)“ (Virgin) 2014 ….
  9. I tend to agree, still there are some male Schubert gems out there. Although I don`t appreciate Fischer-Diskau a lot, there is a 80`s recording with Alfred Brendel of "Schwanengesang" - he is in a rather desolte shape (his wife dies recently) and his broken voice is a perfect match for this Schubert song collection .... Matthias Goerne has an excellent Schubert Lied project on Harmonia Mundi with the crown jewel being the first release with Elisabeth Leonskaja (I`ve mentioned the disc here a couple of days ago) .... Werner Güra had an outstanding "Schwanengesang" on Harmonia Mundi (feat. the impeccable pianism of Christoph Berner) .... and regarding the Hyperion Schubert Series, Matthias Goerne "Winterreise" and Peter Schreier are strongly recommended .....
