I'm just impressed by the photos of the set that you did receive.
You should've smelled the thing lying overnight on top of the washing machine in my kitchen.

I've just received an e-mail that they'll send me a replacement, no need to send anything that isn't damaged back.
So far I've left the shrinkwrap on the CDs. One appears to have wrinkled artwork, the others are harder to tell. I guess the discs themselves must have survived whatever it is that happened.

Yes, the number of characters who can't keep it in their pants on Mad Men is tiring. And don't get me started on Don's ex.

I live in The Netherlands, so I'd rather not call direct.
I do think they were foolish to start shipping orders again so soon after Sandy had passed overhead and the whole region was a disaster zone with plenty of bad weather.

Breaking Bad season one will start going places soon enough. I had the same reaction on first viewing and actually stopped after two episodes. Then a year or two later I tried again. I now love the show. Some of the most memorable characters won't be introduced until next season or later.

@ J.A.W.
I think I will. This is the first time ordering from Mosaic directly for me, but I fear it will also be the last.

Yesterday my Charles Mingus box arrived after two months. It was a July pre-order shipped during hurricane Sandy.
As you can see from the attached photos the set has been ruined by water damage. The thing is soaked and rotting with fungus. It turned to pulp in my hands. I e-mailed Mosaic over 28 hours ago and have thus far not even received a confirmation of receipt of my complaint.
EDIT: I've just received an e-mail that they'll send me a replacement, no need to send anything that isn't damaged back.
EDIT: Today the replacement arrived in good order.

Shameless - Season 1
Shameful in comparison to the UK original.

Not my favourite Iain M. Banks novel, but regarded as his best by many.

I think I'll order Live At Montreux and wait for the Mosaic Select to come back in stock later this year. I'm not sure what else would interest me from this bunch. Perhaps Tyner's Extensions and the Elvin Jones albums.

Still, Linger Lane is supposed to be pretty awful, right?

A Happy New Year from Europe!

No to singers
No to trombone solos
No to organs
No to electric pianos
No to drum computers or electronic beats
Well, at least I can agree with you on #5!
5 to me is pretty much absolute.
With 1 through 4 there are exceptions, but I'll be on my guard when buying records I'm unfamiliar with. With regards to 3 and 4 especially the 70s stuff. At least it's not for a lack of trying.

Hate when that happens to a useful board with nice people.

Iron Man is also not to be missed.

Oh please, dear? For your information, the Supreme Court has roundly rejected prior restraint.

But that's no official release, right? Might as well download the excellent FM broadcast for free. If that cd's a boot it might have worse sound than the rebroadcast.
If'd known aobut it I would have. Sound is very good. And why am I writing in italics?
I don't know. Why am I drinking Chianti Riserva?

I'll drop by their Amsterdam store later this week and buy a copy.

This suggestion works well, thanks.
A shame that so many interesting threads simply cannot be found by browsing the forum section under which they are supposedly located. These topics do not appear to be locked. I assume that when new posts are made they'll show up again when browsing. You really already have to know what it is you're looking for around here.
