  1. David Friedman - Futures Passed (Enja, 1976) Outstanding. Very ECM-ish. (Even the cover image.) ... When people talk about vibraphonists (which, admittedly, isn't very often; but I love the instrument), Friedman's name doesn't come up much. That said, I've enjoyed everything I've heard from him. Exciting soloist. Interesting composer. What's not to like?!?! ... Also, Harvie Swartz's bass playing here gets a gold star.
