  1. It's surprising that a thread like this hasn't already been established.

Here's where you can exchange any of your box sets, but let's not limit it to just Mosaic boxes.

I'll start if off by offering the Tony Williams Mosaic Select box for trade. Everything is in excellent condition, but there's a punch hole through the bar code on the box.

  2. Three way tie for the week.

  6. Trust me i ain't comparing the Browns and the Pats

Two teams going in totally opposite directions

We are a total mess from the top to the bottom and from the bottom to the top

But an 0-16 Browns team is better than no Browns team

    Themzz my dawgs

    Well said!

I felt the same way when the Pats were going through one dismal season to another.

  7. I dunno, you guys just cut Tully BantaCain, Joey Galloway, and Mike Matthews.

Tully is back with the team.

They've cleared up a couple of roster spots for whom?

Tate and Levoir are coming off PUP, but perhaps there's also a trade in the works?

  8. Who cares if they went 16-0 they didn't win the Super Bowl game

The biggest single game of the season

I bet they would settle for 17-1 or 16-2 if the won the SB

    All IMO

In isolation, it doesn't mean as much; but when you add it in with 3 Super Bowl wins over the prior 5 years, it does add to a tremendous run by a tremendous team.

Heck, I'm sure you would be jumping for joy if your team could finish with an 8 win season. :tophat:

I remember when the Pats stunk; they stunk for many years. But the achievements under the Bob Kraft/Bill Belichick tenure is absolutely amazing. They won 3 SB in 4 years; had a 16-0 reg season in 07. Had a winning streak of 18 games (2003-4) followed by one of 19 straight wins. They currently own the second longest streak in NFL history of not losing two games in a row--SF 49ers avoided two straight defeats for 80 games; right now, the Pats are at 68 or 69. They hold the NFL record of most wins in a 5-year span (77-17 over the 2003-7 seasons.)

I mean, you can add it all up. Rarely have you ever seen such an extended record of excellence on the football field.

So you can hold your nose up in the air, SS1, and talk about that 16-0 season w/ a super Bowl loss as meaningless. I just see it as adding more accomplishment to an already illustrious portfolio.

There will be a time when the team stinks again, but it won't happen while Kraft and Bill Belichick run the team.

And look out...this team will be in the Super Bowl again this year. Brady and Co. are finally working out the kinks in the offense; and the defense is getting better game by game.

  9. 16-0? You mean 18-1?

    You're including playoffs.

That's fine, but the team still finished the reg season 16-0. It was a 16-0 season.

    16-0? You mean 18-1?

    :w

At first glance, I thought that was Romo on the ground. :P

Hey guys, I'm proud of that season. Pats finished it 16-0 and lost in the Super Bowl to a freak catch. Hard for any team at any time to match that accomplishment.

  10. 59-0??

WTF is going on with the Titans?

Titans were without their starting cornerbacks. They got behind so early that they became helpless.

As for the Patriots, I mentioned a few weeks ago that once the Pats' offense start to get in sync it will be scary. Looks like it's about to happen.

This year's team is probably the most talented and deepest since 2004. They will be a Super Bowl threat by the end of the season. Started off rough owing to a lot of new faces on the field and Josh McDaniels left to coach the Broncos. They also started off the season against five straight teams without a loss. Schedule remains easy next week with Tampa Bay up next, but they might be facing another undefeated team with Indianapolis in a few weeks.

    Conn,

why in the world did Belicheck let Brady play after halftime? At 45-0 you sit your starting QB and keep him safe. Staring at 0-6, some Titan might do something stupid and injure Brady.

Played first series in the third quarter. The idea, I think, was to keep the momentum going. He would likely sit throughout most of the second half, but didn't want any mini comeback to get established by the Titans. Play him for one series to keep the intensity going, then bench him for the remainder of the game.

There was a game against the Dolphins in the 16-0 season, where they had a large lead and put Cassell in to start the second half, and he coughed up the ball a couple of times. Brady was expeditiously sent back into the game. I think BB never forgot that. (That was before Cassell became Cassell.)

  13. Broncos beat the Pats in OT! Whodathunk? :o

Not such a big surprise as Invesco field has been a house of horrors throughout Tom Brady's career. Still, that was all under Mike Shanahan. Game was close. Pats stop the Bronco offense at the end of the fourth quarter to force overtime. Then they win the coin toss, and the offense has another chance.

Overtime in the NFL is a casino crapshoot.
