Just finished listening to Devotion - Dave Douglas's most recent release. I've always liked his work but for some reason this morning I feel like this is a rehash of older material. It isn't Uri Caine or Andrew Cyrille as both were superlative. It is more of how Dave's embellishments are predictable.
