I One day i compared the original Byron Janis / Kirill Kondrashin, Rachmanininov's third Piano Concerto on 'Mercury' with a 'Brilliant' release and they did sounded exact the same. Conclusion: Brilliant uses original sources. These boxes do sound excellent !   6. He recorded the Caprices 5 times. This is his second recording on Decca. I bought the third recording (1959,Decca) Japan-release.

  10. ok, one of the fantastic gripping pieces but i my opinion there is way more to discover. Both 4 Impromptus, Rondo D 951, Allegro D 947 (Lebensstürme) and more. The D 960 Sonata is one of my favorites to nevertheless.
