  2. Note. This is the 1985 version ! Thrilling ! He plays it fast (in Russian style). Sometimes a little, little rushed in the slowest tempo's. Also digestible for me are parts of his recordings of Beethoven. Still want to hear his Sibelius (heard good things about his recordings). Do not like his Brahms and absolutly dislike his Mozart, Mahler.

  11. Thank you, i will consider them. I once seen a list were especially one symphony stood out on. Can't find the list anymore. mwehhhh... i guess Haitink is best in slower symphonies.
  12. I have a question. Is there a recording of Haitink's 'Shostakovich' that is more than decent ? Let me put it like this. What is his best recording ? Please only reply if you are sure about what you are saying.
