Ghost Of Miles. I'm happy to hear that you guys have a great jazz program! I don't hear a whole lot of highschool who are good or well known for jazz like Deer Valley is. I know a lot of schools are very unfortunate because there is lack of funds or simply b/c the kids can't keep interest in it. That's pretty awesome to own a record store! I'm actually into any jazz artist, well b/c jazz is jazz it shouldn't matter who it's by. But yes Weather Report is a good jazz group! I actually didn't know to much about jazz until 7th grade came along, and I just loved it and thought it was absolutely amazing. Oh yeah I also need to add WATERMELON MAN IS LIKE THE BEST FREAKIN SONG TOO! Anyways jazz is usually not appreciated up until one learns how it came about. Then that's when it makes you appreciate music more.

Lol. BS. BS bs. bs same thing who cares! haha. Well actually a lot of us band kids at my school have two sides. One is MOST of us like to listen to jazz, so I really don't get crap about it. This side is basically shown when we're among our own "kind". Then there is outside world of band where we hear a good song we'll download it, or practice occasionally. But yes I do listen to other types of music other than jazz. Like I guess the type more suitable for us young people, unless there are some adults that are hip and do listen to what we do. So yeah surprisngly I don't get a lot of crap. I think it's b/c our school has such an amazing band program and the most awesome director ever! We're really known for Jazz, we have one of the top 5 jazz bands in Arizona, and one of the best in the nation.

Well when I met them in person before the concert they were normal people like us, of course! Then when it came showtime yes they wore the suits and cool hats which I wish I had a hat for jazz band like theirs! And thanks for recommending that cd to me. I will be sure to look them up and listen to some tunes!
