Jack Tatum has died of a heart attack at age 61.
I always thought it extraordinarily poor judgment to title his book "They Call Me Assassin", considering the circumstances.
I believe that John Madden and others always said that his hit on Stingley was perfectly clean and not out of the ordinary. It was a freak accident, not the result of dirty play.

I'll give it a listen!
AccuJazz has its own Beatle Jazz station. Much of what I have heard has been later-Beatle compositions.

Here is an article that answers the Jarious Jackson question. It says that he is nursing a shoulder injury.
It also says that the Lions have signed a fellow named Mike Reilly who threw a TD pass in 46 consecutive Div. II games.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 47....Edmonton Eskimos 21

http://www.theglobea...article1650946/
Jyles had a good day, presumably his best as a pro. If the Eskimos can't beat the last place Bombers playing without their starting QB, who can they beat?
This is the first time since 1965 that the Eskimos have lost their first four games. The Esks have yet to score in the fourth quarter this season.
As far as how the game went, the Bombers scored the first 26 points. Edmonton then scored the next 14, and with the momentum shift it looked like Winnipeg's lead might be in jeopardy. But it was all Winnipeg after that.

It was tied 7-7 at the half, but it was all Stampeders in the second half.
The Riders were the last of the unbeatens.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/football/interception-rallies-argos-past-lions/article1650541/
For the second week in a row, the Argos snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. The Lions led for most of the game, but Byron Parker ran back an interception for a TD with 2:36 left to give the Argos the lead.
Travis Lulay was very sharp in the first half but cooled off in the second. He wasn't helped by Emmanuel Arceneaux, who dropped a pass that would have gone for a TD and probably iced the game for the Lions.

About fifteen years ago I was on the phone with Cadence Magazine, ordering a year's subscription. Out of all their LP inventory, the fellow recommended the Breuker album called (if I remember correctly) a Paris, so I bought it.

Montreal Alouettes 37....Hamilton Tiger-Cats 14
http://scoreboards.c.../final/W844.htm
Despite the score, the Ticat defence played tough. They forced the Als to attempt 8 FGs, and Duval made 7 of them.

I once saw a woman say on Crossfire that if a man got his date drunk, it was rape because she was by definition unable to give consent.
I believe that the word "rape" should be reserved for only the most serious instances. Otherwise I fear that it will dilute the seriousness of real rape.
I imagine that men have lied to women in order to get laid since time began. I don't think that a woman should be going to the police saying, "I had sex with a man who lied to me."
I guess my feeling is that there are things that people should not do that should not be illegal, not because they are not wrong, but because I don't think the government should be reviewing every moment of every person's life.

The owner of the Ottawa expansion franchise does not expect the team to be called the Rough Riders. Saskatchewan wants to veto the idea.
Who cares what Sask thinks? The Ottawa Rough Riders were founded in 1876.

Dino Saluzzi - El Encuentro
I consider this a symphonic classical album. It's enjoyable if that's your cup of tea.

Food - Quiet Inlet
This has the unusual combination of Tangerine Dream-like electronics with ethereal horns. I enjoy the early tracks, but not so much the later ones.
I really like the drumming of Thomas Stronen. In fact, I'd say that the album wouldn't be much without it.
