  1. Listen....

If you wanted a refund (or some compensation) you should have just asked me. I'm not hiding anywhere. It was $20!!!!

I feel as though you attacked me and there was no call for it. I would've kept this a private issue except you threatened me. There was no need for that. I'm an up-front guy who has nothing to gain by keeping these two discs.

I am not happy that you haven't received your CDs, but what do you want me to do about it!?!?! I can't predict what the post office will do. Furthermore, I can't even guarantee they will arrive. That is the nature of such transactions when one doesn't insure them. I have had CDs go missing, but how can I fault the guy who sent them. They've done their part. I just think you could have handled this differently.

I'm sorry that you haven't got them. I can't, however, in good conscience admit some fault that isn't mine. They were sent!

P.S. I've returned to the board to address this issue, and to let people know I'm here in the event that something has gone wrong with their transaction.

  2. And how are you bothered!?!?!

YOU NEVER EVEN ASKED FOR A REFUND!!! The first time I heard about this was when you sent that malicious email. Let's get this straight...I never refused to compensate you because you never asked until you made all these false accusations.

P.S. I posted the email on tha board because I don't want my customers feeling as though I've alienated them. Sure, I've decided to move on from the board. That said, I stand by my products and if there was ever a problem with them, they shouldn't feel as though they can't contact me.

  3. How do you account for the others that have received their discs from the same shipment?!?!?

I stated to all in my post that I would be sending everything together. Who in their right mind is going to make separate trips to the post office when they're selling over 60 CDs on the board??!?! That's absurd!!! I work two jobs and just can't. That's the reason why I made it clear I'd be sending all as one.

Moreover, I did make this issue on the board because you threatened me. There was no call for that and such accusations are slanderous. I have every right to make this known in public when you're threatening to call "authorities" about such matters. If you wanted a refund, something certainly could have been worked out. But taunting me for no reason is not the best way to approach this issue.

Normally, I'd be more than happy to deal with this is private (ask Parkertown, jacknife, doubleM), but this has crossed the line. You attacked my character and credibility and I don't take kindly to that.

You have no proof, and there is absolutely no reason to question my character when I have done nothing to prove that I am what you say I am. I deserve an apology for this. NO MORE NO LESS!

  4. Honestly, I'm baffled. If all he wanted was a refund, we could've certainly worked something of that sorts out in the event that the discs didn't arrive. I just don't understand what I ever did to this man to get him this upset. It's somewhat upsetting to me as well (and I know people will say I should get thicker skin) as no one wants to be made to feel like a criminal.

I've been called just about everything in the book, but this is the first time I've been made to feel like this. All I know is I can't sleep a wink. :(

  5. undergroundagent,

Leeway has sent you this email from http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php.

I have not received the 2 CDs I purchased from you. I now realize the reason I haven't is because you never sent them. I really don't take well to being ripped off- and lied to.

It's stupid of you to pull such a cheap rip-off. I've checked with others at Org and found out you've pulled this crap before. Now I see you've "bid adieu" from the board. You have a history of this. I hope you have no plans to return to Org, as I shall make a point of "reminding" you whenever you try to buy or sell something that I am owed two CDs or a refund of my money-- that is, if you aren't banned first.

You seem a brazen sort but I am determined to receive restitution. I want a refund of my money within the next few days or I shall file complaints with Canadian and US Postal authorities and PayPal. Oh yeah, don't bother with any of your cheap crook "rages" and temper tantrums. They wont impress me.

THIS IS A LOAD OF CRAP!! Who the hell on this board has the nerve to say that I don't send CD's?!?!?! Granted, I may take longer than some but I have never cheated anyone out of what they bought/traded with me. Those cds were sent on 9/9/04 and 9/8/04 along with the rest of the discs that other people bought in the last lot. I've never ducked anyone on this board — NO ONE!!! I don't understand this email. All past communications between us were straight forward and non-malicious. Then all of a sudden...this! Am I missing something!?!?!

Just to let all know, I'm HERE (!) if anyone has any questions regarding this matter or others.

  6. Hey Guys,

For all those who have bought CDs from me in the three weeks prior to the large lot I posted last week, have you received your discs?

I just received a message from a member who lives in NYC saying that they haven't gotten theirs yet.

F--CKING POST OFFICE! I'm with Big Al on this one.

  7. I hope this article sheds some light on your query.

Hoop Dreams Star Steps into a New Spotlight

William Gates, one of the two boys featured in Hoop Dreams, now serves as a minister in Chicago, IL, USA.

William Gates doesn't like to watch Hoop Dreams. In fact, he's only done it three times since starring in the 1994 documentary.

But Gates made an exception Wednesday night when he sat down with a handful of Judson College students in Elgin to discuss life on the court and off.

"I was a 14-year-old kid with my own personal camera crew, I had a ball," Gates, now a 32-year-old pastor, told the group gathered in Judson's Herrick Chapel.

Featured as part of the evangelical college's Reel Conversations film series, Hoop Dreams chronicled the lives of Gates and Arthur Agee, two African-American kids from Chicago's inner-city striving to realize their dream of basketball glory in the NBA.

Steve James directed the 171-minute film, which took roughly 5 years to film and nearly 3 years to edit.

Spanning a total of 5 years, filming began when Gates was in the eighth grade and was tapped to play for St. Joseph's High School in Westchester. The film extends through his first year at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

"The film was a blessing because it opened doors for me and Arthur that may have been closed," Gates said, adding that "a lot has happened since the movie."

Curtis - Gates' older brother whose own failed hoop dreams played prominently in the film - was killed in a car-jacking in September 2001.

"The third time I watched Hoop Dreams was in March 2002. I just went through parts to hear his voice, his words," Gates said.

Though Gates admitted with a grin that he hasn't played ball in five months, he revived his dreams of NBA glory in 2000.

"The film was a blessing because it opened doors for me and Arthur that may have been closed."

--William Gates Working alongside Michael Jordan, Gates shed 60 pounds, worked out five hours a day and "got the bug back." Invited to attend both the Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls training camps, Gates played well. But when a stream of injuries sidelined him, Gates simply shrugged, saying, "Lord, I understand."

"The question in my mind was, 'Would I have been good enough to play in the NBA?' and God gave me that answer. Yeah, I'm good enough."

His curiosity satiated, Gates focused on his other life passion - God.

Returning to his roots in Chicago's Cabrini Green public housing development, Gates now serves as a minister with the Living Faith Community Center.

Given his well-publicized prowess on the court, Gates said basketball serves as a convenient tool in his preaching.

"I can tell the guys, '10 a.m. Saturday, we're playing ball,' and 75 of them will turn out. It gives me an opportunity for some outreach ministry."

Nearly 10 years ago, Gates married his high school girlfriend, who is also in the film. The couple lives in Chicago with their three children. A fourth child is expected soon.

Agee now lives in Los Angeles, where he continues to play basketball, Gates said.

  8. Big Dawg,

I ordered two CDs from him about the same time you did, but received them in a timely fashion.

I don't like the idea of sellers ignoring their customers. If the packages are lost/late, simply answer your messages. There isn't much that can be done, but it's the least you can do for a person who spent their hard-earned cash on your stuff.
