Mnytime--I read and enjoy all your posts. I hope you feel better soon, for what it's worth.

Ah yes, I approached her once with some sarcasm and was treated with a quick burst of her marvellous flame thrower. Welcome Patricia! :rsmile:

I saw Audioslave live and they kicked ass, far exceeding my expectations.
I dig the Black Crowes too.
-
Side note: Earl "The Tyler Rose" Campbell--responsible for some of my favorite NFL highlights.

It ain't good BBQ unless you break a sweat. Mild is for cowards.

Wayman Tisdale did what?

Done? Not nearly. Shaq will hopefully be healthy for the regular season next year, which will make him more fit for the playoffs. Kobe is just entering his prime years, and I expect him to improve. I expect big changes among the role players, and big improvements at power forward as well as point guard. The Lakers own New Jersey, and I could care less how confident the Spurs get--they got lucky the Lakers had so many bumps in the road, that's all. Jerry West left, Chick Hearn died, Shaq delayed his surgery, Fox tore a tendon, Devean turned an ankle, Phil had angioplasty, and after all that the Lakers could still have won if Horry had gone 3 of 38 instead of 2 of 38. I am confident the Lakers will be better next year.

Go Mavs. If not, go Nets. I want Turtlehead to lose.
Lakeshow will be back with a vengeance next year.

when I first bought Wayne Shorter's Ju Ju I played it four or five times back to back. It was my first introduction to his work as a leader and I was blown away.
Me too, and that was THIS year!

Organissimo, Jazzcorner, AAJ...
I read all three when I have time and I post sporadically on all three, but this is definitely where I come first.
I can't understate how great all three are, and what makes them great is the tremendous amounts of knowledge about every aspect of this art that the regulars bring to the table. :rsmile:

A side note: One of my favorite Zeppelin tracks is their cover of "Travelling Riverside Blues," available on the box set. Why on earth did they leave this song off whatever album they were recording at the time?

Bjork-fantastic in concert; and her videos are groundbreaking!
Bjork's videos are the best! "All Is Full Of Love" and "Human Behavior" are my two favorites--very cool imagery.
I like The Sundays too, I still have a cassette of Reading, Writing, & Arithmetic--a play off the name of their home town Reading, if I recall.
Layne Staley--heavy casualty, he didn't take his own advice and "wake up, slow suicide's no way to go..." RIP

Whoops, thanks Barak Weiss.

I have some of his Prestige and Blue Note stuff, I need to look for some Pacific stuff (good luck, right?). I definitely love what I've got.

Another AOTW whose description makes me know I'm missing out by not having it...

I figure this is as good a place as any to debut my new Spicoli avatar...
