I am not sure but always thought that factory cds were silver or gold color, and blue green was a cdr blank.I recieved 2 import cds from amazon seller caiman.com marked new but were open and the cd has the same blue green hue as many cdr blanks I have seen.The Notes seem original.Anyone have any similar dealings?Or can some ones set me straight as to the legitamacy of these cds.They are DA music or Black Lion releases . Read through the Coleman Hawkins thread on this site and some members offered opinions on his cds.Like Hawk Relaxes and others that AMG gave very poor ratings.I never came across a bad Hawkins cd yet.Anyone have thoughts on the differences .I do not find AMG always reliable but it is a good reference. BTW Chuck Nessa may be able to answer What is the Uptown cd release of C Hawkins Jamestown 1949 (think that is the title) is like.Is it esential?The next gift card I get I may get it. Thanks

$10 ! I must not be looking in the same place.For the Concord cd of the title Salute to Rogers and Heart?Point me in the right direction. New copies from a couple of suppliers for around $10 seems fine to me. I paid $15 for mine. All problems encountered with Amazon merchants have been "wiped clean" in my experience. If you want a burn, that's another topic.

Amazon is a great place to find cds but lately I have been getting far from described quality and to lay out $21 plus shipping on only a chance at getting what I want seems steep.This forum has people with much higher standards in sales and trades.Thanks for looking though.

I know this is not what you want but I read an article about a way of taking a picture of the record evev if it is broken or warpped and then a program can read the grooves and remaster the record with no noise what so ever.I beleive it was a college that developed it but that is all I can remember.
