Played the CD today and the sound is very good. I'm just glad that people who want to hear the music can do so easily now, after it's been o/p for so many years.
As wrote when I started this thread, I feel that this record (at least the first eight cuts which comprised the Piedmont LP - the additional four cuts are good, but not up to those eight) is the best of the 1960s "rediscovery" recordings. And that's saying a lot. There were a number of very fine recordings that came from musicians who were rediscovered by a wider public.
Masterful playing and singing - No need to say more than that.
