I don't think so. Under anonymity he would feel to express himself without restriction. Say Conn hated the group Organissimo... would he dare even broach that subject here??...I DON'T THEEENK SOOO!! Re Albertson's book...would anybody here dare say that they thought he was capitalizing on the story of a Negro artist and not giving the proper proceed's percentage to her decendents? You can answer that one for yourself. One of the most valuable functions of this, and other Jazz sites is to stimulate interest in the music and to give us some insight into the creators of this artform as individuals. If that's not what you want, then that's fine too.

Some people though, just love to be a vulgarity policeman and I fail to see the sense of that. If a prospective poster clicks on a thread and they are offended, why don't they just go to another one??? There are dozens which don't offend them. I just don't think that a "restricted" thread would make much sense. But, as I say, what do I know???? I grew up in a household where nothing was off-limits to me and if whatever it was didn't interest me I just left it alone. This puritanical layer of present society is quite puzzling to me, even childish, but, again, what do I know??
