I've never seen it eitehr. What's the text? The Love Supreme Psalm? I'm getting blind in one eye and unable to see out the other.

Is it from the Church? I have an AFRICA BRASS t-shirt from the Church, so they do do (or at least, did do) the "merchandise" thing.

My hunch is that it's either from the church or else neo-retro.

Jim, I'd think it's the Love Supreme poem. Photo seems to match.

I emailed the seller for more info. I thought it was maybe a promo poster for the record, but somehow I doubt it.

Wouldn't be contemporaneous if it was. The colors and design style don't fit w/the time frame.

If it was anything "of it's time", it would most likely be late-60s/early 70s, most likely the latter would be my guess.

But like I saidm I really think it's "neo-retro".

But I ain't puttin tree-fitty on it! ;)

Well, the seller just replied.

This is an original poster. It measures 13 1/2" x 19 1/2". The poster

reads "John Coltrane December 1964" on it.

I dunno...Jim is probably right.

I'll keep my gun holstered on this one.

I'm sure it's "original", but that's not the same as contemporaneous, dig?

Besides, if the text is the LS psalm, and the poster really had the foresight to realize just how iconic it would become, you still gotta wonder about giving the date like that. That seems extremely "after the fact". if you know what I mean.

OTOH, it could be a product of the Church, and as such would not be without some "collectablity".
