Dan Gould Posted June 25, 2004 Report Share Posted June 25, 2004 I'm gaining some experience in this area due to a project I've taken on for a board member. But its hard to judge because the deck is hooked up to a PC rather than decent stereo speakers. But I can tell you that professional quality reels (like, for broadcast) record at 15 ips, so anything recorded at 7 or 3 3/4 isn't going to sound as good as it could.
