GregK Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 My wife and I are looking at buying a condo (new construction- one car garage, 2 bedrooms, fireplace, about 2.5-3 miles from work). The only thing holding me back is the thought of not being able to resell it in a few years when we move to bigger house. We are looking at condos right now because it's all we can afford, and real estate in the Ann Arbor area is absolutely ridiculous. Small 2 bedroom houses with less than a quarter acre go for 220K and up. I was wondering if anyone here has any insight into the resalability (is that a word? It should be) of condos Quote
Jazzmoose Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Small 2 bedroom houses with less than a quarter acre go for 220K and up. Collect four of 'em and you can trade them for one out here... Quote
Jazzmoose Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 By the way, I haven't gone the condo route, but have friends who have. The short story of what they say is that while they sell slower than a regular house, they do sell, EXCEPT in down markets when you're pretty much stuck. Quote
