Morganized
Brad, That is great news. I have been listening to a lot of Dexter lately, especially a live set he did for Black Lion recorded at the Montmarte' in 1967. Pretty much the same lineup but Tootie Heath on drums. It is excellent.... Any news on the Steeplechase box set. I have put off buying his Steeplechase material in hopes of landing the box set. I hope they bring it out reasonably priced so I can pick up all of his Steeplechase stuff at the same time! Jim R
Hmm... there was already a Steeplechase boxed set, "The Complete Trio & Quartet Studio Recordings, 1974-1976". A complete Steeplechase box would be HUGE (there are close to 30 Dexter albums on Steeplechase now, and there are still a few more previously unissued CD's of live material yet to come).
