Bright Moments Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 so while we are waiting for the hurricane to arrive (and to distract me from my grief over the demise of a particular thread ) i thought that it would be a good time to start working on my bft (#41). here's my problem. when i rip a cut from the cd to my computer, all the information about the song is there. when i burn the cut to the cd, the song's information is still there! how do i get rid of the information so that my cuts are anonymous when someone sticks the disc in the computer? i am using windows media player #10. as always, thanks to all who can help. couw Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 don't connect to the internet while ripping. But seeing that you did, the information is presumably already in your local "media library." you can rename the files once they are on your harddisk by right-click-rename I should think. I have never used MS MediaPlayer for this, I find it not very transparant. Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 I don't know about your particular program, but when I was going through the process, Evan, I had to keep the names on the files so that I knew which version and what order I had them in. Then when I was satisfied with the playlist and sequencing, I renamed everything "track001" etc. You ought to be able to do that, I would think. Quote
