i was reading that jack bruce had a trio in late 1969 with larry coryell and mitch mitchelll.

From what I know, there was a quartet too.

Coryell had a band with Mike Mandel and Steve Haas. At a gig at Slugs', Jack Bruce was a guest for 4 days. This was August 1969. That I can confirm.

Apparently Mitch Mitchell replaced Haas at some point. It is reported that there are recordings circulating. The timeframe for this seems to be later - 1970 or even 1971. But I've also seen people list this as from before - as if it happened immediately after Cream's disbanding in November 1968. I'm skeptical of that.

Not to cause a complete thread-jack here, but what did Mitch Mitchell do (record) after Hendrix passed -- that's worth seeking out. (Looking on the AMG, the answer should be short enough not to derail this thing too badly.)

It must be right before he did "Things We Like" with McLaughlin, Hiseman & Heckstall-Smith. Haven't heard of any recordings myself, though.

As far as Mitchell's output. The only thing I ever heard was Ramatam, but it's been so long I don't remember much about it. I seem to recall that it was a fairly pedestrian rock album, though.

no i think "thing we like" was actually recorded in like 1968 and just not released until a few years later.

Good catch!

AllMusic:

The entire effort was recorded and mixed in less than a week during August of 1968 — less than three months prior to the infamous Farewell Concert of Cream at the Royal Albert Hall on November 26, 1968.
