Brandon Burke Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 My Jayhawks are certainly puttin' the beatdown on a much weakened St. Joes. Yeesh... I can't believe Dickie V hasn't yet deemed it "an M&Mer baby, a mismatch!" Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Michigan State is gonna be tough this year. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Michigan State beat it's first three opponents by 40+ points, scoring over 100 points three games in a row! Granted, the teams are not upper echelon teams, but still... that's pretty impressive. Tonight they play Duke at Duke. I think they have a very good chance of putting the hurt on Duke. I have to play a gig but I'm hoping it'll be on the TVs (since every bar on the planet now has at least 10,000 TVs that must be turned on during live music.) Quote
Brandon Burke Posted November 30, 2004 Author Report Posted November 30, 2004 (edited) I'm glad you reminded me about that game tonight. I'll have it on for sure. KU again with the smack last night. Like you said about State's opponents so far, Nevada wasn't exactly an upper echelon team but the performance was impressive either way. Freshmen looked particularly good. Too bad we don't play you guys again this year. That'd be good... Edited December 1, 2004 by Brandon Burke Quote
wesbed Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I'm awaiting the Michigan State & Duke game. It looks like the game will be on ESPN in about an hour. Quote

jlhoots Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Wisconsin beat Maryland, so the Big 10 finally won one. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 That was a close game. I was playing a gig so I didn't see much of it. I will say by the replays that MSU seemed to get the short end of the referee stick. Quote
Brandon Burke Posted December 1, 2004 Author Report Posted December 1, 2004 I will say by the replays that MSU seemed to get the short end of the referee stick. Yeah, I was talking about that with someone this morning. Quote
Noj Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I thought the refs sucked too, and I'm a Bruin fan. Friggin' Duke home cookin'. Quote
Brandon Burke Posted January 10, 2005 Author Report Posted January 10, 2005 (edited) My Jayhawks certainly proved their #2 ranking yesterday. Winning against #8 Kentucky in Lexington without Wayne Simien (who averages double doubles) and without Keith Langford (arguably the nation's best slasher) for much of the second half.
