J.A.W. Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 The Miles Davis 1963-1964 Mosaic LP-set can now be pre-ordered here. Quote
wolff Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Great!! What's next? The Complete Herbie Hancock Blue Note Sixties Sessions? Seriously, I guess this the last of the vinyl, unless there is another Miles set somewhere. Quote
Leeway Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 From MOSAIC: In all, the Mosaic set includes 10 QLPs, our highest quality vinyl discs, featuring 46 cuts. All but “Miles In Berlin” were taken from their original analog sources. Maybe I'm being a Philadelphia lawyer here, but does this mean that these are analog recordings? Or are they digital LPs derived from analog sources? Dunno, but Mosaic seems to be shying away from simply calling the set an analog recording. Quote
DrJ Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 (edited) Leeway, I had the same question - if they're truly "100% analog," I think I would be willing to invest the extra $ to get the LP set over the CD set. Have you e-mailed Mosaic to ask them to clarify? If not, I would be willing to do it...I'm guessing that they are though. Edited January 6, 2005 by DrJ Quote
