Seals, afterall, do exist in Alaska, correct? And surely, we have AMERICAN poachers doing the exact same thing, correct? It still amazes me that this gies on in the 21st century. http://www.hsus2.org/slideshow-seal-hunt/sealhunt.html Many things like this go on, Whale hunting, Fox Hunting, Badger Hunting etc etc. Some is done for some kind of pleasure and some done in the name of preservation, or even done for cultural reasons. rostasi Posted March 17, 2005 Report Share Posted March 17, 2005 Being a vegetarian bordering on vegan for over 30 years, I, of course, wouldn't be buying Canadian seafood anyway, and I think the 95% these people are getting from fisheries should stop too, but it is not just the Canadians, so I hope that this clip isn't turned into a myopic bashing of our friends up north.
