I know we had bits of this discussion in previous threads... but I just finished last week listening to the Johnny Smith set and just started with the Tal Farlow (European version thanks to Ron!!!! :)

I am definitely enjoying the Farlow more (as many of you predicted)... His up-tempo numbers are outstanding... Swings very hard and imaginative... The best parts of the Johnny Smith IMHO were the ballads... but the Farlow (at least Disc 1, which is all I've gotten through so far)... is smokin....
