Yes, please let us know. I only saw him once and it was with Lonnie Smith, but what a great show.

And where is it and how long will he be there??

Lou was still playing pretty well for his age. May he play for another 20 years. He had this line-up:

Ptah Williams on piano. Never heard of him, but man I wish I did. He could play. Play is an understatement. He broke the A sting an octave and a 6th above middle C. He was lighting fast, and clean. Every note was hit. He is from St. Louis. Teaching out of the university there. This was his first time in NYC. Hopefully it won’t be his last. I would go see him lead a band. Anyone here heard of him?

Randy Johnson on Guitar

John Webber on Bass

Fukushi Tainaka on drums

I believe this line-up was a last minute change. The billboard on the club entrance had Dr Smith listed, and so did the fliers at each table. Hopefully it was a scheduling issue and not something bad.
