Free For All Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Not to intrude, but I've enjoyed what I've heard from Kurt Rosenwinkel. Quote
Guest akanalog Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 ok not to intrude anymore-but scofield did have some good ideas-like allining himself with medeski martin and wood young hippie crowd who love to spend money on music and concerts and i'm sure he has been making dollars from this idea. to get back to tyner-i actually have a tyner LP where carlos santana is on a few tracks. it is terrible-it is from like 1983 and has phyllis hyman singing on some songs and tyner even diddles some syth on a song or two. overall not so interesting. also i find it strange that at least one tyner milestone is not on CD-horizon with john blake on violin. i like this one a good deal. wonder why it was singled out... Michael Fitzgerald Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I suggest a separate guitar thread (we've had to have done this here before, too), but yes, most all of your list I enjoy. Add McLaughlin, Peter Bernstein, Ben Monder, Tom Dempsey, John Dirac, etc. Mike Quote
