Guy Berger
Somebody recently seeded a Keith Jarrett trio show from July 1999 (Copenhagen) with the tune "Zardees '58" (yeah, I know that's not the same spelling as the 50s LA jazz club). One individual wrote: I don't know what it is either. It's a medium tempo AABA 32-bar tune in F which sounds like it was written in the 50's - actually quite similar to "Bop-Be," but not the same tune. (The bridge of this tune starts on Amaj7, while "Bop-Be" goes to A minor.) Another individual noted: Found it! It's a Gary Peacock tune: Zardees 58 It's registered with BMI under the name of Gary George Peacock, published by Mokuto Music. link Anybody familiar with this tune, this recording, or any other recordings of this tune?
