Jim Alfredson Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 You guys need to chill out. Or at the very least, take it to PM, please. Quote
7/4 Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 [Too bad I deleted that thread. Then we could as see you whine like a fool about a non-jazz posting in the miscellaneous - non-political forum and criticise me for making a posting in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. There's still evidence here. Now go enjoy life Brownie! Get on with it! You're confusing sides once more. You're the one who was whining in the original thread that you conveniently deleted. To quote myself: 7/4 finally has admitted killing the thread. Not because one of of my answers ('a bit weird' ) but because the whole thread made him look like a whining idiot! In his initial reply to my prodding for an answer, he gave a good description of a stalker, a subject he obviously knows a lot about. Except he switched roles, a classic transfer! If there's a stalker around here, you're the one! And others are finding out now! I'll go back and ignore you and enjoy my life and leave you to your pathetic one! Up, over and out, as they say! I deleted it because you were whining about me posting 7 times in the How's the Weather? thread. WTF are you reading the damm thing if you have a problem with it? The other comment was about me complaining about it being cold in NYC in December -> we had a cold snap, the temp was 14 degrees below normal. Bah! Don't say anything to anyone else who was posting in the same How's the Weather? thread. Attach yourself to my leg and start humping like an animal. Then act like I'm strange. Quote
BruceH Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 I'd say give yourself a couple of days, but it's too late for that. Quote
catesta Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 i gotta disagree with my honourable colleague from Queens here-- fuck the MTA. while this is not quite a case of good v. evil, the TWU is by faaaaaaaaaaar the lesser evil here. forget that you don't have to move yr car while the strike is on, think of the idiotic fare discount that was passed t-giving to new year's on weekends. how the HELL does that benefit? new yorkers, or tourists who'd spend a little extra $$$ anyway? you were out west during MTA's constant lying about the surplus <---> deficit <---> surplus <---> deficit... well, which is it? answer: it's whatever they want it to be, depending on the politcal expediency. anything that makes Bloomberg squirm is worth it to me too; maybe i'll walk to J&R and smoke in front of city hall later just to celebrate. see also --> Juan Gonzalez column on strike (EVERYONE reading this who is not intimate with "Strike" from Selby's "Last Exit to Brooklyn" oughta read it twice.... ya'll need it waaaaay more than Miles Cellar Door, etc. for those who dunno, it's also waaaaay more ambivalent than my post above might suggest.) guy debord is my co-pilot, xxc You see, I was going to say "Fuck" the TWU, but instead toned it down to "screw". I should have kept it real. Clem, buddy I hear ya, and I'm not saying the MTA is the good guy in all this. But, I am saying the TWU did not have to strike. It's waaaay to costly to local business and people just trying to get around. They don't even have the support of the mother union. This could very well bankrupt local 100 when it's all said and done. How smart is that? Who the hell is going to cover the wages striking workers are losing? I think Toussaint is in way over his head. Quote
catesta Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 BTW clem, I may be getting closer to you this summer. I'm looking at some stuff around Bensonhurst/Dyker Heights/Gravesend. Most definitely for business, and I may even move that way. Otherwise I'll be more in the Maspeth/Middle Village area. Quote
J Larsen Posted December 28, 2005 Author Report Posted December 28, 2005 I left my place at 3:00AM and had the dubious distinction of being the first person through security at LGA. At least I didn't miss my flight! Quote
