I am a new member and am still wandering aimlessly around trying to figure out how to properly use this site. The reason I joined is that I collect vintage, and new, jazz posters for actual concerts. I try to stay away from most "commemorative" posters other than a few jazz festivals. The venue posters are not difficult to find but I have no real knowledge or sources for those in Great Britain, although I do have a few in my collection. Can anyone give me any leads? Thanks

Thanks for sharing the image. I have never seen this before. It is incredible how much stuff is out there. The biggest problem for collectors is often that the year is not on the poster and by using a "perpetual calendar" you can come up with possibilities (If they list the day in writing, i.e. Tuesday, July 23). One has to guess about when the event took place and this guess is often based on the cost of a ticket. Also, many of the buildings where the event took place are now either closed or torn down and that helps set a limit on the last possible date. Other than that, it is necessary to write to a library in the area to see if they have the old papers on microfilm.

Thanks again.

How's this for rare?

It's from my little collection.

Thanks. These types of posters are very difficult to find. This is a good one.
