Hardbopjazz Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 There is a record shop by my home. I normally don't hunt anymore for LP's, but I saw this one that perked my curiosity. And for 3.99 why not grab it. Anyone familiar with this session? Quote
MartyJazz Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 (edited) There is a record shop by my home. I normally don't hunt anymore for LP's, but I saw this one that perked my curiosity. And for 3.99 why not grab it. Anyone familiar with this session? I think it's terrific! Another trio outing also recorded in May '74 worth getting is TETE! These two albums and perhaps TOOTIE'S TEMPO (also on Steeplechase) represent his best trio recordings, IMO. One caveat: Lots of Steeplechase recordings back in the '70s were licensed to a U.S. label, Inner City. The IC pressings are nowhere near the quality of the Danish Steeplechase editions. But for $3.99, it's worth getting particularly if you still put records on the turntable often enough. Edited February 17, 2006 by MartyJazz Quote
brownie Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 A beautiful session. And at that price, it's a gift from Catalonia! Quote

I still need release date for this US edition. Thanks in advance! Agustín Quote
