Guest Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 I played at the Sonics game last night before and at half time out near the beer stand. There is an autographed pic of Kenny G hanging up in the suite level wall of fame. I just kept saying, with my best straight face. "Oh man, I'm so nervous! I mean...Kenny G has played here!" Quote
Dan Gould Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 I just booked my upcoming stay in Fort Lauderdale and thought I'd do some checking into the local live music scene. So, who do you think is going to be there during my stay (among others)? Yeah, Kenny G is following me. When exactly are you here in south Florida? April 12th its Benny Golson and Eddie Higgins at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Quote

Just arrived. Will be here for a week or ten days. Definitely planning to attend Golson concert. Also, I hear Arturo Sandoval is opening a club (or something - I'm sketchy). BTW, WDNA is great for mainstream jazz. Started listening on line some time back. Quote

You could tell that he really loved the music and I loved to hear him talk about what he was playing. I always supported him in the pledge drive and got every penny's worth. Quote
BeBop Posted January 26, 2013 Author Report Posted January 26, 2013 Almost seven "G"-less years, but I spotted his entourage at my downtown Seattle hotel this weekend (Friday night). I found out that he's playing Jazz Alley (..where I saw our own Jim Alfredson not long ago). Quote
Tim McG Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 Kenny Whatshisname is still around? Huh. Who knew? Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 I found out that he's playing Jazz Alley. Seems like an odd venue... Quote

BeBop Posted January 28, 2013 Author Report Posted January 28, 2013 I think he played at one of the Yoshi's locations not long ago. Or it was scheduled. He's definitely infiltrated some formerly jazz-centric venues. Quote
