Tyrone Washington

I thought Natural Essence(which I own) was Tyrone Washington's only session/release as a leader. I'm in Amoeba Records(the best indi record store in northern california)the other day and I see this sealed reissue LP Roots by Tyrone. At $8.99, why not give a try. Imo, the LP is barely ok(how can you screw up You Don't Know What Love Is) two, maybe three stars.......................

This has been discussed before. There are other dates he led in addition to Roots.

Much love for Tyrone on this board -- and plenty o' topics abound. In short, to the best of my knowledge - Tyrone was the leader on a grand total of three dates that have been released, plus one more infamous one that hasn't (known around here as the "Trainwreck" session). Also, one person here on this very board has heard the "Trainwreck" - and their description of it can be found here and there.

(Would have done the search on "Tyrone Washington" - but that brings up every topic with either "Tyrone" or "Washington" in the title. Searching just only "Tyrone" only is the next best thing, and nearly every search hit is for Washington.)
