Hardbopjazz Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 (edited) Has anyone here heard of this place? It is new to me. A co-worker today tells me she just got a grand piano for free. When I asked her how, she told of this site. People give away stuff they no longer want. The couple she got the Bösendorfer from was retiring to Arizona and didn't want to bother selling it or taking it with them. Shit! It has to be worth a good 8K I would guess. She just paid 700 to have it moved to her house. Neither her or her husband play, but it "Looks Cool" as she said. www.Freecycle.org Edited July 7, 2006 by Hardbopjazz Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Lots of people I know use Freecycle. I've gotten rid of a few things myself using it. Quote
Quincy Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Gross. Someone with a pet tiger perhaps? I used to read our local freecycle mainly for entertainment. Lots of young hippies posting things like "hey man can any1 gimme a car?????" It is a good service though. Great way to find homes for old National Geographics, bags of wine corks, beat up chairs, you name it. Quote
