JSngry Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 (edited) ?????????????????? I've just heard one song. Sounds like he has a great voice. But that don't mean shit by itself. Edited August 28, 2006 by JSngry Quote
JSngry Posted August 28, 2006 Author Report Posted August 28, 2006 I had the same reaction. Apparently so. Quote
JSngry Posted August 28, 2006 Author Report Posted August 28, 2006 (edited) I would hope that we all do in some form or another, but... The cut I heard showed him to have a voice somewhere between the speaking voice of Barry White & the singing style of Terry Callier. Interesting... Edited August 28, 2006 by JSngry Quote
JSngry Posted August 28, 2006 Author Report Posted August 28, 2006 (edited) Webste (in French): http://cunniewilliams.artistes.universalmusic.fr/ The samples don't sound bad, but they're just snippets.. Edited August 28, 2006 by JSngry Quote
paul secor Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 When I saw the title of this thread, I thought that it might be about a blues/gospel singer, Blind Connie Williams, who accompanied himself on guitar and accordian - recorded for Testament, later reissued by Hightone. Obviously a totally different person - though Blind Connie Williams is worth checking out. Quote

JSngry Posted August 28, 2006 Author Report Posted August 28, 2006 i know the guy and my favorite track from him is Love or Drug MCO What's your opinion of him overall? I mean, I really dig the voice, but if there's not much else going on, I'm not interested. Quote
marcoliv Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Jim, nothing different from the current R&B scenario. his voice is much more impressive than the songs itselves Marcus Quote
