sjarrell Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 (edited) Through the end of this month, there's a buy.com Google Checkout sale afoot, and everytime you make a purchase over $30 (there's no limit on how many purchases you can make) using Google Checkout, you save $10. Don't sign in to your account- grab a Select, go to checkout, scroll down and hit the Google Checkout button. And don't do it with Firefox, it seems to be Internet Explorer friendly only. You can sign up for the Google account once there. Happy shopping! Edit: Of course the promotion applies to everything on the site. But that's a swell Select price... Good to know- I tried repeatedly and fruitlessly w/ Firefox, and their support guy told me that the feature was IE compatible only. Go figure. Quote
robviti Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 (edited) must be "the luck of the italians" on the other hand, i just received one of my orders. the blues calendar i was going to give my brother for his birthday was badly bent. that's what happens when you ship a 12" by 12" item in a 10" by 13" box. Rooster_Ties Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 (edited) Doesn't work on out-of-stock items, FWIW... Edited October 20, 2006 by Rooster_Ties Quote
J Larsen Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 I'm kind of surprised that none of the Selects have hit "Running Low" status yet. I realize not all that many people buy jazz box sets, but I see these things in stores all the time. Seems they'd be running low just on the basis of what they've supplied to retailers. Quote
Ron S Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Thanks for posting about this! Just placed some individual orders for some Selects I've been meaning to pick up. At $34.95 with free shipping, this deal is really hard to pass up. Quote
mandrill Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Beside Mosaic Selects it can be a good deal on CDs from Criss Cross & Steeplechase. You could buy them for $9-10 a pop, shipping & all. There're some names worth mentioning: Walt Dickerson, Johnny Dyani, Louis Hayes, Stanley Cowell- Steeplechase; Ted Brown, Kenny Barron, John Swana- Criss Cross Jimmy Raney- both labels. Quote
