Does Larry Ridley play trumpet?

I'm heading to NYC tomorrow and I checked out the page for this club in Queens: http://www.cwj.net/CookingHomeFS.html . Scroll to the bottom of the page...that does look like other photos I've seen of Ridley, but I'm not certain. Anyone know if Ridley is known to double?

Larry Ridley is definitely not pictured, nor does he play trumpet. Although I have never met the man, I suspect that it is Larry's trumpet-playing brother Mike Ridley.

The picture isn't very good, but I do think it's Michael Ridley, Larry's brother. The brothers do look alike somewhat.

Another clue: when I saw Michael in D.C. (as part of a large ensemble called The Brooklyn All-Stars or something like that), Leonard Gaskin was also on bass.

Michael Ridley told me at that gig that he used to hang out with Lee Morgan, and was at the Sidewinder recording session. He claims that Jackie McLean was originally scheduled to be on the date, in addition to Joe Henderson. I will try to remember to ask Cuscuna about this (or Jackie, Barry Harris or Bob Cranshaw if I see them anytime soon). What a sextet that would have been!
