Durium Posted October 30, 2006 Report Posted October 30, 2006 Flesh and Blood - Jonathan Kellerman What has this book to do with jazz. As one of the members of the El redescubrimieto de Oscar Aleman project people may contact me about questions according this Argentine guitar player. So I got a message a few years ago from a woman who wanted to know where she could obtain Oscar Aleman's music. She had found a fragment in one of Kellerman's books ( she had forgotten the title) and as she made a habit to buy all music Kellerman's suggested, so she needed an Aleman disc. Keep swinging Durium Quote

Keep swinging Durium Kellerman and his main charachter , Alex Delaware along with his gay cop sidekick Milo Sturgis form the basis of one of the very best mystery series of the past 10 years. I recommend all of his books! The allusions to jazz are frequent in that Delaware is an accomplished amateur guitarist and also lives with his main squeeze ( Robin ) who is a sought after luthier in the LA music scene. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 Nice to see a recommendation; I've avoided Kellerman only because his books have been advertised on TV. It just doesn't sound like a plus somehow... Quote
