Save cell phone message to pc??/

I have a voice mail on my cell phone that I want to save....is it possible to save it to my pc?

The only thing I can think of is to wire up a cable that would go to the input on your soundcard and then play the message into the computer and use something like Goldwave to record it.

A cable could be make from an old "hands-free" headset. Or I suppose you could put the ear-piece of said headset up to a microphone plugged into your computer.

Unfortunately the message itself resides on a server somewhere, not your phone, so it is not a sound file that you can transfer via a USB cable or whatnot.

Thanks Jim, it's a nice....long message from trumpeter Joe Wilder that I would love to save. Thanks for the tips, I'm sure there has got to be a way to save it.

I may be remembering completely wrong, but I could swear I've heard somewhere about some systems allowing you to download voice-mail as mp3's through your e-mail.

(Though come to think of it now, that may be on my wife's voice-mail system where she works.)

You know, if nothing else is possible, couldn't you just play the message (does your phone have a loud speaker phone?) into a mic and record it that way?

I've never tried it w/ audio but you can send pictures to your email account. My avatar was taken w/ my cell phone.

Can't believe that's an un-retouched cell-phone cam -- but stranger things have happened before.

EDIT: Hey, the image I uploaded is BIGGER than the Avatar-sized image. Cool!! Didn't know that board saved Avatars in their native size -- I figured they were compressed down to 100x100 at the time they were saved.

Nada, the only thing I did to the photo was shrink down the pixel size. It's a photo of my son lying on his back playing w/ one of those hanging mobile crib toys that was suspended about 4 inches over him. I was standing right over him shooting downwards through the mobile. I guess he hit it just as I was snapping the picture. The resulting movement along w/ the bright colors of the mobile caused that weird psychedelic blur effect. After I viewed the picture I tried to recreate it w/ my point and shoot digital camera to no avail. I'm guessing the cell phone cameras have a slower shutter speed than the PAS cameras.

Edit: Hmm.. I thought I did shrink down the size. I think you can make out the toys a little better in the larger image.

That's really a wonderful image. Some people I know would work in Photoshop for an hour tweeking things to get something like that (and not have it come out half as good either).
